Data Protection

Every church is responsible for complying with the General Data Protection (GDPR) regulation which came into force on 25th May 2018.

Each church has a 'Data Administrator' - or some have informed the circuit they have taken joint Church Council responsibility for ensuring compliance.  

Each Church Council is legally responsible for ensuring compliance. It is not any one individuals responsibility and the church council should take steps to ensure they are kept totally up to date and informed of the latest requirements and regulations, which is why having one contact person is preferable.

The administrator is the contact person to pass on and compile information as instructed by their own church council.

On the attached pages are the policies for each church to keep on file as directed by TMCP.  There are also the templates churches will need to adapt and use to fulfil their responsibilities.
