Domestic Abuse

The Methodist Church’s first Domestic Abuse Webinar aimed to promote awareness of domestic abuse and look at how as a church we can begin to tackle this and respond appropriately to victims/survivors.

We put together a packed and diverse programme including an interview with the Domestic Abuse Commissioner, Nicole Jacobs.

Other speakers included

  • Mandy Marshall, Co-Founder and previous Co-Director of the domestic abuse charity Restored (now the Director for Gender Justice for the Anglican Communion)
  • The Revd Helen Cameron, Chair of Northampton District
  • The Revd Dr Jonathan Hustler, Secretary of the Methodist Conference

There were also contributions from domestic abuse survivors.

The Vice-President and President of the Methodist Conference opened and closed the proceedings.
